The hotel had lovely and comfortable beds, great food, and outstanding chocolate brownies. The room with a fantastic loch view for wildlife spotting was beautiful, though lacking basic hooks and bathroom accessories. The service at the hotel was mostly attentive, with occasional preoccupation. The location was perfect for exploring Orkney sites, very close to key attractions. The dining experience offered good breakfast and delicious dinner, but at times a bit understaffed. The facilities were adequate, with room for improvement in some areas.

I was sold a suite, but it only had dining style chairs to sit on. The room was large and we had the family room with an amazing view over the loch to the standing stones yonder. However, it was the only one with a towel rail that didn't work.
